Dr. Sara Gomez
DMD, CAGS · Endodontist
Dr. Sara Gomez’s path to dentistry began with an experience she never forgot. When she needed an emergency root canal, she learned firsthand how vulnerable dental treatment can feel—and how much a compassionate, skilled doctor can help. That experience shaped the kind of endodontist she wanted to become: someone who listens, explains clearly, and helps patients feel calm and cared for.
Dr. Gomez earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where she received the Tufts Merit Scholarship. She later completed a General Practice Residency at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center and earned her Certificate in Endodontics from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry with the support of a scholarship. She is also certified in IV and oral sedation.
During her education, Dr. Gomez developed a strong interest in research and service. Her published research on dental trauma and cell survival received an award, and she participated in a humanitarian dental mission serving children at an orphanage in Peru.
Outside the practice, Dr. Gomez enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and creating things by hand.
Dr. Jing Guo
DDS, MS, PhD · Endodontist
Dr. Jing Guo earned her DDS and a Master’s degree in oral science specializing in endodontics. She then pursued her PhD at the Center for Craniofacial Molecular Biology at the University of Southern California.
After completing her PhD, Dr. Guo continued at USC’s Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry for advanced residency training in endodontics. In 2017, she became an assistant professor in the Department of Endodontics at Loma Linda University and also served as an endodontist in the university’s Special Dental Care Department.
Dr. Guo has published extensively in notable journals in her field and has served as a peer reviewer for several academic dental journals. She and her husband moved to Houston in 2019.
Outside the practice, Dr. Guo enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and their adorable dog, Rubble.
